SIROC Acquires Padel Watch

The sport of padel is exploding. With over 25 million players in more than 90 countries and an industry projected to generate around €2 billion in annual revenue, it's clear this isn’t just a fad. It’s a global movement.

One of the first to see this trend coming? The team behind Padel Watch, a beautifully simple yet powerful Apple Watch app that helps players track their matches in real time.

From Seed Bet to Standalone Success

Padel Watch wasn’t initially a strategic play for SIROC. It started as more of a personal bet.  We knew the founders and had deep respect for their capabilities. So when they approached us with the idea, we decided to support them early on. That seed round turned out to be all they needed.

Since launch, Padel Watch has grown organically to 40,000 users globally. Thanks to the massive padel boom and the app’s laser focus on the Apple Watch experience — clean interface, real-time scoring, serve tracking, undo functions, and deep match statistics — it has carved out a strong niche, even as other scoreboard apps entered the scene.

A Win-Win Transition

As the product matured and the business proved self-sustaining, the conversation evolved from investment to synergy. The company didn't need more capital, but after many years the founders were ready for a new challenge. So we offered them both: an exit, and a seat at the table.

Pablo Garcia Roca, based in Spain, joins SIROC Ventures as Head of Design. Javier Garcia, based in Japan, becomes Lead Engineer for new in-house ventures within SIROC’s Venture Studio. The rest of the Padel Watch team will continue focusing on growing the app and expanding its reach.

What's Next

At SIROC, we believe in backing talented people early and staying flexible about what “success” looks like. Sometimes, that means a classic VC story. Other times, it means investing in people first — and letting the strategy catch up later.

Padel Watch now becomes part of our growing portfolio of revenue-generating digital products, and Pablo and Javier will be key builders of what comes next.

Welcome to the SIROC team.
